1. Service Description

LingoGist is an AI-powered language learning platform that teaches through comprehensible input reading. We generate short passages in your target languages, calibrated to your vocabulary level.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use LingoGist. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3. AI-Generated Content

Passages, definitions, and other learning content are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. LingoGist is a learning aid, not a certified language course.

4. Acceptable Use

LingoGist is for personal language learning. You may not scrape, resell, or redistribute the generated content. You may not use the service to generate content for purposes other than personal language learning.

5. Your Data

You own your learning data. You can export it anytime from Settings, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

6. Intellectual Property

LingoGist uses several open data sets for character stroke animations and reference materials. See the Credits page for the full attribution list and the licenses each data subset is redistributed under.

7. Limitation of Liability

LingoGist is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including inaccurate translations or definitions.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
